WHO WE ARE
Aajizi is a platform dedicated to authentic Indian handmade products, created to make India’s rich craftsmanship accessible to customers across India and around the world.
We aim to provide a single destination for the international community looking to discover and purchase authentic Indian handcrafted products at fair and reasonable prices, while helping Indian artisans and craft businesses reach customers beyond their local markets.
Starting with handcrafted carpets, Aajizi will gradually expand into a wider range of Indian handmade products across Fashion and Home Décor, bringing together craftsmanship from different regions and traditions of India.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to bring Authentic Indian Handcrafted products from across India onto a single platform, making it easier for customers around the world to discover and access India’s rich handmade craftsmanship.
We endeavour to bring to the world the hidden gems of Indian handicrafts—unique products and traditional crafts that remain largely unexplored by international customers and are often limited to their local markets.
Through Aajizi, we aim to give these artisans and craft businesses a wider platform to showcase their work, connect with new customers, and reach national and international markets.
WHY HANDICRAFTS
Handicrafts are more than products—they represent traditional skills, creativity, culture, and the communities that keep these traditions alive. Many handcrafted products use natural, locally available, or responsibly sourced materials, making them a more thoughtful alternative to mass-produced products. Some artisans also transform textile waste, fabric remnants, and other discarded materials into useful products, helping reduce landfill waste and giving materials a second life.
Beyond sustainability, handicrafts can play an important role in local community empowerment, creating livelihood and income opportunities within artisan communities. They can also provide meaningful opportunities for women artisans to develop their skills, earn an income, contribute to their families, and build greater economic independence while preserving traditional crafts.
At Aajizi, we aim to help these artisans reach customers beyond their local markets, creating greater opportunities for their craft, communities, and traditions to be valued in India and around the world.
OUR EXPERTISE
Our roots are deeply connected to India’s carpet industry, with over 40 years of experience in carpet dyeing and nearly 10 years in carpet manufacturing This has given us a strong understanding of materials, colours, craftsmanship, production, and quality.
Over the years, we have also built a strong network with skilled artisans, including Banarasi saree craftsmen, connecting us with traditional expertise across India’s textile and handicraft communities.
We are starting with carpets, but as Aajizi grows, we will gradually bring more authentic handmade products from across India onto the platform.
